Maybe you haven’t noticed, but I haven’t really posted anything pumpkin-y at all. It’s coming towards the end of October and I’m probably the only food blogger that hasn’t posted anything pumpkin. There may possibly be something wrong with that picture. But I have good news for you. I have joined up with some great bloggers to bring you some wonderful pumpkin recipes all week long. Today I’m bringing you something basic, but one of my fall staples to get my mornings started on a healthy note.

I’ll be 100% honest. Pumpkin is actually not one of my favorite flavors in the world. Especially all by itself. I’m not a squash kind of girl. That is, until you start adding the cinnamon, the clove, the nutmeg, and brown sugar. All the deliciousness that makes pumpkin delectable this time of year. And it gets even better once you start pairing it with different fruits like apples or peaches.

And that is how this smoothie was born. I drink smoothies almost every morning, and during the fall months I’m craving something with a little more spice to warm me from the inside, despite the icy-ness of the smoothie itself. The addition of the peach flavor really compliments the pumpkin wonderfully. For someone who isn’t in love with the big old popular pumpkin, combining the two flavors really is a match made in smoothie heaven.
